Here's a picture of our stairs after the balusters have been installed.

OK. So I'm updating this on 6/30, but I'm almost done with the last two projects above. I have about 100 more lft of base shoe to put on, and I have to install a shelf in the nursery, then I'll be done with the loud projects. After that, the baby can arrive and sleep in peace. I should probably only need another 2 mornings before work to wrap up.

Here's a quick update of the projects so far. In this picture you can see the floors completed in the family room, and also see the fireplace face. We think it's pretty cool, but have to pick out a mantel still. We also have to have the baseboards done. I was planning on doing that myself, but am running out of time.
Here's a picture of the kitchen. It's almost done. The appliances are in. Dave (Jen's brother) came by this weekend to help with the floors. We got about half of the kitchen done on Saturday. I finished them up Sunday, Monday, and today. I am SORE. You'll also notice the backsplash. It's glass. You may or may not notice the dishwasher. I switched out the black front panel for the stainless one. That was pretty fun except for the cut I got on my knee while doing it. I ended up bleeding all over my shorts, but not on the floor, so that's nice. Oh, you might also notice there's only one panel on the back of the island. That's because the cabinet guys are coming out to install some corbels (to support the granite). They'll be here Monday. The electrician is coming out Saturday to install some lights over the island, and I'm installing some grey outlets and stainless covers to wrap it all up.
The cabinet guys were out here about a week ago to do the butler's pantry cabinets. The electrician needs to do a bit still here, and we're waiting for the handles to come in, but we think it looks great. We're thinking that we might stain the wooden panels in the refrigerators the same color as the cabinets. The backsplash is being installed tomorrow.
